I am trying to install the SAP Business One, analytics powered by SAP HANA 1.0.5.341 but in the installer when I select the Connection Settings give me the next error message:

"A version of SAP Business One, analitycs powered by SAP HANA is already associated with the selected SAP Business One server. Select a different server or unistall the existing version and try again."

Initially the server has a older version of B1A, I uninstalled that version totallyof Linux Server, but I think that is something in the SAP server (where company databases resides) that I missing to uninstall but I dont find anything about this topic.

Any one can help me?

I have created a RLang Procedure (using RServe) to implement ARIMA models for some forecasting.

The procedure is then called via SQLScript, which provides it with the necessary input data.

Now I would like to display the results via UI5 and therefore created a XSJS file that uses a CallableStatement.

Unfortunately an column store error exception is thrown, when I visit the URL of the XSJS file in my browser.

The JavaScript and SQLScript/R syntax should be correct, because I can call the procedure (including R-Call) successfully in HANA Studio as well as via a JAVA program using JDBC.

Furthermore, when the R-Call is excluded, also the XSJS variant works correctly.

I located the following error message within the HANA logs:

It seems like there is a problem with the connection to RServe, but I wonder why it still works with JAVA.      

Has someone experienced a simliar behavior or even knows a solution?

I've installed HANA on a sandbox to do some learning, so no production on this one.  I got to the point of upgrading, and did get SUM to update, but the HANA code itself is at 1.00.46.46 and won't update.  In Studio it shows that as the current version, but the Target version is "not available".

Some other things updated, so I believe I've got things configured correctly. 

What would cause it to not get the Target version for the: DB, Studio, Client and SAP Host Agent?

When I try to run the following alter command

ALTER TABLE ITEM_LOCATION ADD CONSTRAINT IL_LOC_TO_LOCATION_FK FOREIGN KEY (LOCATION_KEY) REFERENCES LOCATION (LOCATION_KEY) ;

I get this error?

Cause: com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: [7]: feature not supported: more than 32 triggers for single table is not yet supported: line 1 col 78 (at pos 77)

Can someone help me?

I run Performance trace.

But I can't read Performance trace.

SAP says "SAP Support has a tool for evaluating performance trace .

But I can't find it .

Would you like please tell me what is a tool that has capable of reading performance trace.

orders type for tools are created and settled with ko88, in period 3.

on that orders there is cost of material, cost of work allocation. the order is closed.

now there I wont to transfer order cost on new INVESTMENT order.

what are the steps for that.

I was thinking like this:

1. reverse old order with ko88 ( error mssg because of period 3, because I wont to reverse in period 4)

2. reverse the allocation work on old order with kb21n

3. with kb11n transfer old order to new one cost by cost.

4. post the work on new order with kb21n

Is that OK. or what should I do

is there a other way for this?

Can I use the SLT to replicate custom tables from a MSSQL Database?

We are playing a little bit  with HANA and trying some scenarios. Currently we have loaded the Microsoft Contoso demo Database into a MSSQL 2012 Server. Created the database connection within transaction "dbacockpit" and installed sap specific tables and triggers to get reporting and statistic in the dbacockpit transaction.

Now the HANA Part:

With transaction LTR we connected hana with the MSSQL Server, Everything fine ;-)

But we cant choose any tables in the HANA Model Studio to replicate/load. There are also no trigger created.

But in the corrosponding schema there are Tabels DD02L DD02T, but they are empty.

How can i choose tables to replicate to the HANA Database?

or do i need a BO DATA Service solution?

I'm currently on the installation of SAP Netweaver 7.3 for BW on HANA.

During the SAPINST installation on phase "Check DDIC Password" it failed to check the DDIC user account.

have anyone came across this issue and how it was resolved.

Also at this time of the installation the MMC is up and running but when trying to logon to the instance to hopefully change the

DDIC account i get the following error in the MMC.

I have validated both the apps server and HANA server and both times are in sync.

I am facing an issue when loading FAGLFLEXA table in SAp HANA via SLT. The complete scenario is as below -

1. The table was already loaded and the replication was going on.

2. There was a requirement to apply filter in SLT to bring only last 3 months data.

3. So, the filters were applied by me in SLT under transaction  - IUUC_REPL_CONTENT.

4. After this, I stopped the replication manually in SAP HANA under data provisioning.

5. I triggered the load, it showed me error but contents of sap hana table FAGLFLEXA was deleted.

6. In order to be sure that it is only issue with filter applied and no other issue. I deleted the filter which was applied and then triggered the load again from SAP HANA. But it did not show in progress/error or anything related to this table under data provisioning. Before triggering the load again, script delete from <SECHEMA_NAME>.RS_STATUS where tablename = '<tablename>' was run in SAP HANA.

7. After this, I have deleted the table FAGLFLEXA manually from SAP HANA. Also deleted the FAGLFLEXA table from IUUC_REPL_CONTENT.

8. Have again added the table in IUUC_REPL_CONTENT and triggered the load from SAP HANA. But now nothing is happening in SAP HANA. Table FAGLFLEXA is completely not there and it does not even show any status of this table in SAP HANA.

In SLT, it says unexpected trigger state detected and it is showing error.

Also in transaction IUUC_SYNC_MON, the trigger state is DEACTIVATED and "In Process" is coming as 'X'. (No logging table is there).

In source system ECC, the log table for FAGLFLEXA is showing unprocessed data as the replication was stopped in between.

Can you please help with below -

1. When the load is triggered from SAP HANA, why any status is not showing?

2. Why the table structure is also not getting replicated in SAP HANA?

3. What are the steps which could be followed to fix this?

Hello everyone.

I have a kind of fact table, containing just 4 small columns, which I filled with about 1.1 billion rows of test data. The table is essentially filled with random double values which I created in a procedure which totally ran successfully.

However soon after it ran the hana database started to do the delta merge. Unfortunately it seems like the database runs out of memory during the delta merge, so the specific thread fails. Soon after that, the database starts a delta log replay and afterwards again a delta merge - which fails again and again. So actually the whole system is stuck in this kind of loop of trying to recover the delta log and doing the delta merge. The whole behaviour even still prevails, after I configured the indexserver not to do auto merge. I also restarted the machine itself.

I wonder how I can escape this endless loop? I dont mind losing the data in the delta buffer, nor the main store of the fact table itself, since its test data only, but I don't want to lose all the other stuff / tables since the last system backup.

Is there a way to delete the delta buffer for this specific table or preventing the system to do a delta replay automatically after restart? Actually the whole system is very sluggish during the heavy job execution, but there's a small timeframe between the jobs (maybe 1-2 minutes) in which I can execute everything relatively fast and it seems like theres no lock on the problem causing table in this timeframe. Also there's no way to cancel the jobs during their execution, that's why I always have to wait a long time (~1-1.5 hours) to get to this "free" timeframe and do the next attempt. I already tried to delete a few million rows of that table during this timeframe, but it seemed that didn't help at all or even made the problem worse. Next I'll try to drop the whole table during this timeframe - maybe that helps.

Anyway, can anybody give me another hint how to solve that problem plz?

There is a requirement to get only last 3 months data in SAP HANA for table FAGLFLEXA.

This needs to be done based on posting date field. So, it seems the below will need to be done –

1. 1.       If 1^st of every month drop data otherwise do not drop complete data from table FAGLFLEXA in sap hana. (This is for taking in account the performance when loading data in SAP HANA so dropping data everyday is not recommended)

1. 2.       Calculate 1^st day of the previous 3^rd month (example if 15^th April 2013, then calculate 1^st Jan 2013).

1. 3.       Now take records where data is from 1^st Jan 2013 to 15^th April 2013 in above example.

This will need to be done under tab IUCC_***_RUL_MAP in transaction IUUC_REPL_CONTENT.

Can you please help me to write the code for this?

If there are any other suggestions, please let me know.

I am trying to install the Hana Delivery Unit to enable DXC, as per the "SAP HANA Direct Extractor Connection Implementation Guide".

I am attempting to install HANA_DXC.tgz Delivery Unit from the server, but am getting a Java error.

Within the Hana Studio, I'm chosing Import > MyHanaSystem > Server, then selecting the following from the dropdown:

/usr/sap/HDB/SYS/global/hdb/content/HANA_DXC.tgz

I've made sure all Actions are enabled (overwrite inactive, activate objects, bypass validation). The initial simulation was all green, but when I ran the install I got the error messages below. Subsequent attempts show amber for the simulation (warning about overwriting what is already there) but the results are the same.

Our versions are as follows:

Hana Studio 1.0.38 Build id: 201210022202 (368649)

Hana SPS5 1.00.48.372797 (NewDB100_REL)

I've noticed after the job finishes, in the Hana Studio Navigator view, under Content, I now see a package for sap > hana > dxc. There are then 5 folders - the first and last are named 350 and XSA, but the content underneath has no name and any attempt to open it causes further Java dumps.

Any help very much appreciated.

I have some data inside HANA that appears to be unicode.  For example character '2013 EN DASH' which appears as very similar to a normal dash.  When I run SQL to retrieve the value I have no problems as HANA is unicode and my value is returned.  When I attempt to run exact same SQL against HANA db via Microstrategy or via Excel front end using ODBC driver HDBODBC32 to connect to HANA I get the following error;

General error;-10427 Conversion of parameter/column (3) from data type NVARCHAR to ASCII failed.

My question is whether this or any other ODBC driver can or should be able to handle unicode character conversion? 

I have confirmed the character that is the problem is definitely an EN DASH.

Any help is greatly appreciated as always.

It may sound awakward, facing a persistent issue installing SAP HANA client on my laptop.

Starting right from the revision 13, I have tried to install the latest rev. 18 of HANA client, but the error during installation remains same. I am pasting the installation log below. Since rev. 17, I tried to install using the GUI (hdbsetup), as well the command line utility (hdbinst), and the same error, with all the revisions, with either of the methods!!!

Just FYI, I am trying to install HANA client 32 bit version on my laptop. (It is Windows 7 32 bit machine). Just for the hack of it, tried 64 bit version too, but the setrup dont even start, as expected.

Last, but not the lease, have got even the laptop formatted, and started fresh install, if the error is due to some confilcting libraries. However the same issue persists. Even from the safe mode/ command prompt only; all the installation methods fail!!

Can someone help? Many thanks in advance!!!
