SQL engine change query results

Hello,

We have built a CV. When we run the same view twice, first time with SQL ENGINE and second time without SQL ENGINE we were surprised to get different number of records. The SQL engine also less efficient in our case:

Can someone please explain how can SQL engine change the result of a query?
