I am trying to configure a Fiori news tile in HANA SPS10 (Revision 102), I have tried with HANA Studio 102_1, and 102_2 (for the Mac). When I double-click on a news tile in the SAP HANA Catalog Editor no properties sheet is displayed, yet there is for static and dynamic tiles. I have tried this with HANA Studio SPS09 (revision 97) and it does display the property editor.
I did a little digging and found this in the SAP delivered repository packages - //TODO: if news no need for tileConfiguration. I wonder if someone forgot to add something here?! 
When I look at the .xswidget using the text editor the properties of the news tile is rather sparse, as shown below

My HANA system was upgraded from 97 to 102, so I wonder if it is a symptom of that rather than something missing from 102.
Has anyone successfully configured a Fiori news tile on HANA SPS10?
