We are doing a recovery test of a SAP HANA system (BW), which is approx. 180 GB on disk and 256 GB memory allocated to the HANA system.
The recovery of a "full data backup" from local storage (certfied HANA hardware single node appliance of size medium=512GB RAM) takes +20 hours, which surprise us a lot. Backup takes less that 0,5 hours and the IO system of a certified appliance is pretty good.
That makes us wonder if any of you have mesaurements of HANA DB recovery runtimes and experience with its performance?
We are running HANA 1.0 revision 46.
