This might come as a silly question, but I was thinking the other day:
Let's say we are planning to build a distributed system, and I will have one tenant database scaled out to span over two workers so that I can use partitioning based on geography. Assume I have business in two distant from each other regions. So I want one of my workers cover one region, and the rest of the data will be partitioned to the other host which will cover the other region.
Now the actual question: Will I want each of my two workers located in each region or would I want them to be located in one location as they still span one and the same database? In other words, is there any impact from the distance between the hosts that support the same database?
