I'm facing some problems with the SAP HANA R Integration.
We are using an R Server, which is attached to our SAP HANA Environment and the set up runs reliably.
But somehow there are some performnace issues.
If we are executing an algorithm (let us say the C50 Decision Tree) from the SAP HANA environment, the runtime is much higher then executing the same code directly on the R server by using an CSV File, which is stored there.
All differences, like loading the CSV file or transferring Data between the HANA Server and the R Server are not taken into account. Consequently it is just about executing equal R code, which runs slower if we are using the R integration.
Has anybody an idea, how to solve this problem?
I think, that a seperate R runtime is opened on the server for every R procedure executed on SAP HANA. Maybe there are some settings for those runtimes and they are not taking the full resources of the R server?!?
